Holocaust Memorial Garden

The Holocaust Memorial Garden – Gates of Remembrance is located on Martine Avenue. A dedication ceremony was held Sunday, October 25, 1992 as part of the celebration of U.N. Day., followed by a public meeting at the White Plains Public Library with speakers Kofi Annan, then U.N. Assistant Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations, and Sylvan Barnet, U.N. Representative of Rotary International. White Plains Beautification Foundation participated in the dedication of the garden with the donation of a sixteen-foot tall Cedar of Lebanon evergreen tree.
