FAQs
1. How many gardens are managed by White Plains Beautification Foundation?
As of June 2011, WPBF plants and maintains over 50 gardens. Click here for a
map showing the location of each garden.
2. How do I become a member of White Plains Beautification Foundation?
WPBF does not have members and therefore charges no dues. WPBF is a donor-based, non-profit foundation, managed by community volunteers. Guests are welcome at WPBF’s monthly Board meetings. Individuals who attend at least two Board meetings and demonstrate an interest in one or more of the many committees managed by the Foundation may be asked to become an Associate of the Board. Others can become involved with the Foundation by attending our Annual Fall Gala, making a contribution to the Foundation or becoming an Adopt-A-Park Sponsor.
3. Is my donation to WPBF tax deductible?
Yes, to the extent allowed by law. WPBF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
4. How do I make a donation?
The Foundation gratefully accepts contributions large and small. Gifts of stocks and bonds are also welcome. Donation checks payable to WPBF can be mailed to WPBF, P.O. Box 1614, White Plains, NY, 10602. We are also in the process of establishing an account with Pay Pal. Continue to check back to this site for that option.
5. What is the Adopt-A-Park Program?

The Adopt-A-Park Program is a sponsorship program whereby individuals, small businesses, corporations or private foundations can adopt or sponsor a garden with a donation that directly funds the planting and maintenance of one of our many gardens and parklets. Levels of participation include Friends of the Park ($250 - $499), Benefactors ($500 - $999), Major Sponsors ($1,000 - $2,499), Gold ($2,500 - $4,999), Platinum ($5,000 - $9,999) and Diamond ($10,000 and up). Those contributing at the Major level or above will be rewarded with a White Plains Beautification Foundation sign bearing their name in the garden they sponsor.
