Business Appreciation Awards
Each year a committee of White Plains Beautification Foundation volunteers explore the city
taking note of the efforts made by small businesses, corporations, co-op and condominium
complexes to enhance their property with gardens or planters, thereby enhancing the view of
all who pass by. Several properties are selected as outstanding and are recognized at one of
the foundation’s monthly board meetings. Certificates are awarded to the owners/operators of
the properties for their contribution to the beautification of White Plains.
Although many properties consistently deserve recognition for their landscaping efforts, the
foundation tries to ensure that no corner of the city goes unnoticed, presenting a varied slate
each year.
